An additional large Native American gambling den is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 square feet, 668 slot machines, and fourteen table games. In addition, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 one armed bandits, 36 table games, and 4 eatery’s. There are several other popular Iowa casinos, which includes Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 one armed bandits, and 39 table games.
A smaller Iowa gambling hall is the Diamond Jo, a paddle wheel boat casino in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 one armed bandits, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend paddle wheel boat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 slots, and 14 table games. Another Iowa water based gambling den, The Isle of Capri, is open all hours, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 one armed bandits, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. riverboat gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 slots, 14 table games, live shows, and Thursday blackjack events.
Iowa casinos present an excellent deal of tax money to the commonwealth of Iowa, which has allowed the budgeting of a good many state wide projects. Tourism has increased at an accelerated percentage accompanied with the request for processors and a growth in employment.
