I have been betting on the internet or at brick and mortar casinos for many years. I have learned, the craving can acquire a hold of you and you will not even realize it until you are broke. Especially if you are on a winning streak. I have gone through countless hundreds of clams in a very short period of time and at times, I can go a bit too far. It seems you are only enjoying yourself up till you decide to consider your loss and the anguish settles in, and then you continue advising yourself "I can likely win the mulla back" ad infinitum. It does not work. Then you get sick to your stomach and the more you try the faster you throw away.
When you see that you are up, STAY on the UP! When you start to relinquish, don’t tell yourself, "well only maybe 1 more" a number of times, trust me, this plan RARELY ever functions. Say you are betting on one armed bandits, keep an amount separate before starting your wagering. DON’T go over that range, no matter how appealing. If you happen to win, put the winnings in a separate pot. Don’t spend your earnings regardless of what happens. After you have played through your initial set cutoff, stop. Back off, whether it is on the web or at a land based casino, do not stay at the tables or machines. Always keep in mind, there certainly is another day, another time. Clearly, this tactic can work for any game that you gamble on, be it bingo, poker, video poker, keno, chemin de fer or any other casino game.
Remember, betting should be delightful not backbreaking, sickening work! If you are not enjoying yourself, you don’t belong there. If you can’t afford the losses, don’t even begin.
